About Rising Scholars
At Rising Scholars, we believe every child is born with endless potential. Our mission is to close the learning gap early by nurturing curiosity, independence, and creativity through hands- on, differentiated learning experiences. We're dedicated to helping each child reach for the stars academically, socially, and emotionally.
Founded by certified educator Ms. Malorie Garcia, Rising Scholars began as a vision to create a space where every child feels valued, supported, and celebrated. Rising Scholars was born from Ms. Garcia’s passion to close the learning gap she witnessed over her years as an elementary teacher. After years in the classroom, she recognized the need for a learning environment that blends structure of academic preparation and joyful discovery.
Rising Scholars is more than a childcare program; it’s a community of learning where children are guided with care, intention, and heart — building a foundation that lasts a lifetime.

Reporting and Communication
Our teachers use Brightwheel daily to share updates, photos, and reports, keeping parents informed and connected throughout the day.
We also send monthly newsletters that highlight classroom activities, upcoming events, and important reminders — ensuring families always feel part of the Rising Scholars community.
Gourmet Meals
Rising Scholars participates in the USDA CACFP food program, providing nutritious, home-style meals and wholesome snacks. Our daily menu includes fresh, balanced, and flavorful meals prepared with children’s tastes and health in mind.
Staff

Each teacher meets all OCFS qualifications, has completed a full background check, and maintains current CPR and First Aid certifications.
